Mercedes SL R230 Rear Shelf Bag. In model years 2003 to 2006 many SLs have the restraining straps already fitted to the rear bulkhead which pass through the loops (with genuine SL logos) in the bag and clip into the belt holders near the floor. This perfectly restrains the bag from any movement whilst driving. However, later model years did not have these straps fitted as standard, but you can still use the bag without any problem as the rear seats keep it in place without any issue. You can retro fit these straps, but it would be at considerable expense and not really worth it, even if you could source the parts. The bag is typically German made to a very high quality standard and was exceptionally expensive when available as an accessory part through MB Parts.
